Turner Brothers placed over 200,000sf of 6” Ductilcrete paving at The Crown Beverage Facility; the owner wanted a durable long term solution for the pavement at their trucking and manufacturing facility. With heavy loads of metal spools being shipped in daily asphalt was not an option. With the concrete paving we were able to reduced the sub grade material and provide a long term solution that was cost effective and extremely durable. Turner Brothers provided a 5 year warranty and high quality product that will hold up beautifully for years to come!

 

Mansfield Warehouse

This project consisted of 130,000 sf Ductilcrete slab on grade, 6” Ductilcrete paving and 54,000 sf of insulated composite tilt-up wall panels. We were about to provide 27 kip load with a 6” Ductilcrete slab that was placed using the Ductilcrete Heidabed system. This allowed us to incorporate the casting slab into the finish slab, saving both time and money without compromising the quality of the finish wearing slab. The composite tilt wall was 10” thick and provide a true R-13 wall assembly. Coupling our expertise with the technology of composite tilt and Ductilcrete floors we provide a class A institutional grade building for a square foot price comparable to lesser quality metal building.

Cambridge Park

The Hanover Company awarded Turner Brothers four separate projects all adjacent to one another in Cambridge. The first started in 2011 and consisted of 500 units. Since then we completed a 100,000 sf precast parking garage and over 240,000 sf of varying thickness post tensioned decks. Each project consisted of a flood storage area, integral pools and amenities area all well of over 1000 units of luxury rental homes. The use of post tensioned slabs allowed the developer to maximize units and go up with 5 stories of wood frame while staying under the maximum building height.

Ocean Spray

Primus Builders selected Turner Brothers for all of the concrete work on the new minus 10 freezer for AmeriCold and Ocean Spray. The project consisted of retaining walls and spread footings, concrete paving and a rebar reinforced building slab along with a ¾ of a mile of rubbed curbs in the freezer boxes. With limited access and placing on 6” of insulation careful preparation and planning was needed to place the 145,000sf slab on grade. We utilized Line Dragons to move 400 feet 5” pump hose to place 1-1/2” aggregate, all said and done our crew completed the floor in 6 placements and far exceeded the specified flatness and levelness tolerances.

Northpoint

Turner Brothers was selected to complete the concrete foundations and structural slabs for 265 apartment homes. This project featured 2 stories of under ground parking with 28’ high one side walls, cross lot braces and rakers. The parking level consisted of 10” mild reinforced deck and there was 143,000sf of 12” to 24” post tensioned slabs. A total of 14,000 yards of concrete was placed throughout the summer and winter. A unique challenge was the 24” thick Pt slab with a large cantilever adjunct to the Green Line train trestle. We have completed numerous projects for Avalon over 20 years!
